Heidi Kuisma

Originally from Finland, Heidi lived for 13 years in Glasgow before moving to Brighton in early 2014. She is self-taught and has been photographing since 2007. Her work has appeared in The Telegraph, The Argus, MixMag, Scotsman and The Skinny. She is interested in different environments, memory and the stories seemingly random objects or scenes can depict.


For Documenting Britain, I will explore British coastline (particularly in south of England), seaside towns and people’s relationship with the sea, from holidays and houseboats to people making the living out of it.
