Ella Dickinson

Visual storyteller & documentary photographer, London, England

Ella gained her Masters in Photojournalism from The University of Westminster in 2013 following her graduation from The School of Oriental and African Studies in 2012.  In September 2013 she was awarded the Oxfam Exposure Photography Prize for Women for her work on the 2013 Kenyan General Elections. Ella’s work reveals her attentiveness to detail and her desire to understand people’s stories. Her images are provocative, aesthetically fine and offer a striking sense of immediacy giving the viewer a chance to understand the people and places she photographs.
